Today, I was kind of bored while reading Mancur Olson's The Logic of Collective Action so I did something I was thinking about doing for awhile. I filled out an online application for the FBI to be an intelligence analyst (counterterrorism division). I went through the motion, and I realized that I have more than enough qualifications for one of the high-end analyst jobs. So I filled out the application.
Now, I know I don't have a shot in hell, but it was just one of those things I felt like doing at the time. A long time ago, I applied to the CIA and was actually accepted. At the very end, they were going to require me to fill out a form that meant I had to turn over every one of my novels in the future to them to decide if I could publish it. Being a novelist, that just didn't sit right with me.
Anyway, I blame Mancur Olson if they accept me. He and his blasted collective goods!
Stumble It!
