About Duane Gundrum

Duane GundrumDuane Gundrum is the prolific author of numerous novels, short stories, screenplays, plays, and articles. His first published novel Innocent Untl Proven Guilty was a mystery/suspense tale taking place in the corporate world of Los Angeles.

His second book was Thompson's Bounty, a science fiction adventure involving a Coast Guard cutter that is pulled back in time to play out a rivalry between a swashbuckling pirate and his former commander, an English admiral hellbent on doing everything possible to bring him to justice.

Duane was originally a computer game designer and then programmer who worked for Maxis Software (before it was bought by Electronic Arts). He appears in the credits of Motoracer 2, Sim City 3000 and The Sims, as well as many other games. He was also the creator of Prisoner of Z'anth and U.S. Air Force's Strategic Air Command.

Once a computer technician, he was also the designer of numerous web pages for many companies at the dawn of the World Wide Web. Currently, he works in the health care field, creating and maintaining web content for a large hospital system. He is also a college professor at Grand Rapids Community College, where he teaches communication and political science courses.

His education includes the United States Military Academy at West Point, San Francisco State University, Western Michigan University and the University of the Pacific. He holds two masters degrees and did his doctoral work in political science.
